Zuckuss (1980’s Paint Scheme)

Having an extra Zuckuss lying about I decided to give him the look of the 1980’s Kenner action figure that was mislabeled as 4-LOM. Didn’t go overboard on the detail,  sometimes less is more as it seems to be in this case. I personally like the simple paint scheme on this one, just some subtle shading and dry brushing, minor blending…fairly easy and knocked this one out in about three hours. Photos don’t really do it justice…looks shiny and I always seem to lose the depth of the painting, but you still get the point.

  1. Nice. It took me the longest time to accept Zuckuss to be not 4-LOM. As a kid I liked to have him relax in his leisure wear jogging suit under the coat after a hard day of bounty hunting.

What are you using to slice these big trunked minis off their bases so nicely?

    Great job.

  2. Thanks! 🙂
I have to agree….was sold on the 4-LOM name and then later on found out his actual name was Zuckuss…it still seems weird to me calling him Zuckuss.

I use a Woodland Scenics 2″ Foam Knife…it’s basically just a 2″ long razor knife.
